A number of VWS members teach throughout the greater Los Angeles Area. Here is current listing:

Fall 2018:

Debbi Saunders is co-teaching an 11-week Painting & Drawing class at Artist Co-op 7 in the fall of 2018: an experimental, in-depth workshop for beginning to advanced students who appreciate the right-brain approach to art and a less structured class. The course examines creative approaches and stresses independent work at the student’s own pace. Personal introspection is encouraged to tap artistic talents. Students may paint in either oil or acrylics.

Susan Gesundheit is teaching an 8-session Right Brain Figure Drawing Course at Artist Co-op 7 in the fall of 2018. Explore innovative concepts of expression using multimedia:  charcoal, pastel, ink and collage. Students with any level of experience. Explore innovative life drawing concepts of expression. Receive perceptual training.  Release your creativity.  Study masters and graphic theory.  Benefit from discussion and critique.  Work from live models. Sessions are on Mondays.

Oak Park Community Center

Wednesdays 6:30 to 8:30 PM (Homework checked at 6:15 PM)

Procedure for both classes:
Instructor draws and paints a 22″ by 15″ watercolor landscape every class. David talks as he draws and paints, explaining the creation process. Students will be given a handout showing the scene to be turned into a painting. Students provide their own materials and a suggested material list will be given out at signup.

Helene Jukoff teaches a weekly public class on Wednesday Mornings 8:45 – 11:10 am at the LA Parks Wilkinson Center at Vanalden, just south of Nordhoff.  The cost is $5 plus $2 for use of the terrific space. Download their schedule here.
